Everyone gets angry. For some people anger gets in the way of friendships, romantic relationships, work or academics, some people even end up in jail. This workshop will help you understand anger and provide strategies for control. Presented by Counseling Center Staff

Fear of success or fear of failure

Fearing success or failure can decrease your ability to do your best and make you less satisfied with your live. This workshop looks at these issues and provides strategies to overcome them. Presented by Counseling Center Staff

Overcoming shyness

Most of us experience shyness sometimes, for others shyness interferes with their quality of life. This workshop gives both information on shyness and some strategies to combat it. Presented by Counseling Center Staff

Perfectionism

Does thinking things are terrible unless they are perfect gets in the way because the first flaw in a relationship, term paper or social activity means it too is terrible. This workshop helps participants understand perfectionism and provides strategies for lowering its influence. Presented by Counseling Center Staff

Procrastination

Most everyone puts something off sometime. Are you putting off too many things too often? Has procrastination interfered with your grades? This workshop examines procrastination. Presented by Counseling Center Staff.

Assertiveness training

How do you let other know what you want, clearly and effectively? Participants will learn the elements of assertive communication. Presented by Counseling Center Staff

Being ourselves in a fairy tale world

Are you uncomfortable acknowledging your limitations? Do you feel pressure to be perfect? Participants will learn about coping with imperfections in their lives. Presented by Counseling Center Staff

Coping strategies

Coping with homesickness

Leaving home, adjusting to a new community, new responsibilities, and developing new relationships can be exciting and challenging. Participants will learn about strategies to cope with homesickness. Presented by Counseling Center Staff

This workshop will focus on identification and fine tuning of the elements of successful delegation skills. Presented by Counseling Center Staff

Choosing a major, picking a roommate, how to spend the weekend. We all face many decisions, large and small, on a daily basis. This workshop will help participants prioritize and identify other important strategies to improve decision making. Presented by Counseling Center Staff
