This program addresses common behaviors that lead to weight problems, disease, and sub-standard performance. Presented by the UNCG Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist or Peer Educators.

What is the difference between an eating disorder and disordered eating? Who is at risk? How do I approach someone I suspect has a problem with food, body image, etc. This program addresses common behaviors that can lead to these deadly disorders. Presented by the UNCG Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist, Counseling and Testing Center Staff or Peer Educators.

Nutrition and Fad Diets

We are flooded with nutrition claims. Who can you believe? Are carbs good or bad? This program discusses many popular diets and highlights the pros and cons of each (low fat vs. low carb). Presented by the UNCG Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist.

Body Image and Media

Learn how media images distort our perception of health and beauty. These messages have been shown to create negative body image. Learn how pursuit of the cultural ideal can permanently damage your health. Presented by the UNCG Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist.

Nutrition Jeopardy

We have taken this familiar game show and added categories related to nutrition. Participants can compete in teams to test their knowledge on issues related to this topic while gaining new information at the same time. Presented by Wellness Center Staff or Peer Educators.
