So now you are in charge. You are now responsible for the safety and well-being of your chapter members. That can be a lot of stress for anyone. You are in a position of recognizing what issues are arising within your chapter. We are here to make your term as president as worry free as possible. We offer programs that address many of the issues that you may encounter within your chapter. Look at as us a resource for yourself as well as for your chapter.
New Member EducatorsYou have been charged by your chapter with a very important task, the education of your chapter’s new recruits. As the new member educator, you have a lot of influence over the growth and development of these new recruits into new brothers or sisters. You probably spend more time with these new recruits than any other member of the chapter. You are in a position to recognize problems that may be occurring with these new recruits and can take action. Taking action now can lead to the betterment of these individuals and your chapter in the long run. Let us be a resource for programs to assist you and your new members.
Risk Managers
Congratulations, your brothers or sisters have decided that you are a responsible individual. You have been elected to be in charge of the making sure that the actions of other chapter members do not cause harm to themselves or others. You are the one that people will turn to when decisions need to be made to ensure that an event is following FIPG policy or that no other harmful consequences result because of this event. This task can be very time consuming and challenging. You may the first one to notice that things are not going well at an event or to notice when some of your chapter members have a problem. Let us support you in your important role.
The Wellness Center and Counseling and Testing Center of Student Health Services offer a variety of programs to aid you with your job as an officer. Most all of your National Organizations have requirements for keeping your chapter as healthy and safe as possible. We would like to be a resource for you in that process. We offer programs on topics such as sexual health, sexual assault and harassment, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, nutrition, eating disorders, mental health issues, anger management, etc. Visit our Wellness Education page for a complete listing of programs offered by topic.
